ACADEMY

Academic institutions are expected to progressively increase the teaching of BIM in their study programs and courses, promoting its learning and preparing human capital for the new requirements of the industry.

This sector comprises:

Universities, technical training centers, colleges, technical schools, training centers, and Technical Training Organizations (OTEC as per Spanish acronym)

Diagnosing and
developing the
baseline of
BIM human
capital formation
in Chile.

Defining BIM
roles and
responsibilities
for the AEC
Industry.

Defining
the learning
outcomes.

Managing
scholarships
and co-funding
of BIM
training.

Necessary actions expected to be carried out by academic institutions:

Increasing
BIM contents
in their
undergraduate
programs.

Increasing the
offer of courses
and continuing
education programs
in BIM
(postgraduate and others).

Increasing and diversify
the contents that are being
taught in relation to BIM,
including topics focused
on processes, standards
and collaborative work.
